Facial Recognition: Why Our Skin Starts Sagging As We Age.

Facial Recognition: Why Our Skin Starts Sagging As We Age.

Platelet Rich Plasma for Facial Rejuvenation

You don’t need be a scientist to know that the collagen in your face is responsible for the sagging. You may even know the “why” behind it. But it’s the “when” that is surprising. Before we get to that, let’s think about the this. If our own bodies are the reason behind the sagging skin, could our own bodies work to help slow it down or even stop it?

A PRP facial rejuvenation, is an advanced skincare treatment method that harnesses your body’s own natural power to heal itself. Platelet Rich Plasma contains concentrated platelet and growth factors derived from autologous whole blood. These cells are believed to induce the synthesis of collagen and other matrix components by stimulating the activation of fibroblasts, thus rejuvenating the skin when injected into an area of collagen degeneration.

Collagen is a naturally occurring protein in the body and it’s what keeps your face looking vibrant and youthful. In the skin, collagen is responsible for fullness, elasticity and radiance. It also gives the skin its strength and structure.  Unfortunately, the production of this protein diminishes over time and results in the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin. When PRP is introduced back into the skin, the growth factors stimulate collagen — producing cells called fibroblasts in healthy individuals.

Your Skin Plays “Biometricks” on You

Don’t panic. While we as humans reach our “peak” in life in our early thirties, your skin starts starts peaking even younger — when you’re in your 20s. You might also cleverly say your skin is playing “biometricks” on you. That early sagging is hard to notice because its slow. But its happening. There are two other reasons your skin starts to sag. Take a look below.

Nowhere To Go But Down

We created a video to give you a visual idea of how these three elements work in the dermal layer of your skin. The younger skin contains much more of these elements than older skin. And when there’s less of each in the skin, the skin has no where to go but down.
