Meet The People Who Make GCB Happen
We are proud to be a diverse, global team united by values including openness, positivity, and drive that stems from our founders. No matter how much our team grows, we still feel like family. The Gulf Coast Biologics Training & Education Center was launched in an effort to establish and standardize evidence based clinically scientific treatment methodology and to educate and train practitioners on the best use and application of regenerative autologous biologics. The custom built educational center is an independent state-of-the-art training facility where attendees can learn, collaborate and fellowship in a vibrant, elegant and modern environment.
The courses are carefully structured to help practitioners better understand the enormous benefits of regenerative medicine and its life changing impact on patient outcomes. The courses are presented in collaboration with Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center, Center for Continuing Medical Education (CCME) to provide Educational CME certified activities for its attendees.
Dr. Peter A. Everts began his career in regenerative medicine in the Netherlands in 1981 before moving into the orthopedic surgery and cardiac surgical arenas in 1989. Dedicated to providing scientific and evidence-based outcomes, he developed the first European department of Peri-Operative Blood Management. The main focus became the application of regenerative and autologous biological cell therapies to stimulate natural wound healing, avoid general infections, cardiac, orthopedic, plastic reconstructive, spinal surgical procedures, and chronic complex wounds.
His research and clinical biological theories ultimately contributed to his PhD in 2007 from the University of Utrecht Medical School while defending his research titled “Autologous Platelet Growth Factors: Autologous Platelet-Leukocyte Enriched Gel Basics and Efficacy. (ISBN13: 978-90-8590-0160-0) He’s published more than 60 peer reviewed articles, booklets on platelet rich therapy, bone marrow and adipose cell therapies. Peter brings a positive, enthusiastic and practical approach to learning regenerative medicine treatment options from an evidence-based perspective.
In his spare time, Peter enjoys playing his German Shepherds and Wolfdog, as well as rounds of golf or pickleball.
